Named after the founder, Joseph Sporn, in 1999, Sporn blossomed out of the invention of a single product—the Sporn Training Halter. Joseph's redesign of the dog halter helped millions of dog owners worldwide gain control over even the most rambunctious leash pullers, giving the pet parent the upper hand on walks. With the success of the single halter, the company continued to grow and Joseph Sporn continues to design useful and innovative accessories inspired by the dogs in his life. Mr. Sporn has been in the pet industry since 1987 where he opened the first doggy day care facility in the United States after becoming a certified groomer and working in an animal hospital. His dedication to dogs has remained apparent as his current business is still located above his first, Yuppie Puppy Pet Care, where he enjoys spending his free-time interacting with the dogs and their owners. Sporn's original and fresh ideas are a direct byproduct of Joseph's love and dedication for our favorite four-legged companions.
