About Pioneer Pet
Pioneer Pet was conceived with the unique mission to provide products that are specifically designed to enhance the quality of life for pets by providing for their behavioral needs. It especially wanted to deter pet parents from declawing their cats, as this is a cruel procedure. The Ultimate Scratching Post was born after that and thus SmartCat® began.
In 2009 the company branched out to become Pioneer Pet Products®. They did so to extend their quality designs and construction into a wider range of products. In 2012 they acquired the brand Sticky Paws®, a tactile tape that deters cats from scratching inappropriate surfaces.
